Expansion will increase the value Stream-Flo delivers to customers, and represents continued investment in the community of Grande Prairie.
Edmonton, Alberta (November 19, 2015)—Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. is pleased to announce that the expansion of its Service and Distribution Super Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta is complete. The expansion doubles the size of the facility to 47,000 square feet on 5.6 acres of land and represents a significant investment in the community and in the region’s oil and gas industry.
Stream-Flo, the largest wellhead, gate valve, check valve and surface safety valve manufacturer in Canada, opened its first facility in Grande Prairie in 1987, purchased the land it now occupies in 2011, and constructed and opened the current facility in 2012. The company has 12 service and distribution centres in Western Canada, along with extensive operations in the United States, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and Erbil, Iraq (Kurdistan).
To better support customers, the expanded Grande Prairie Super Centre is home to the Stream-Flo Group of Companies’ (Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. and Master Flo Valve Inc.) complete range of services. In addition to product installation, field support and maintenance of Stream-Flo and Master Flo products, this includes Canadian Wellhead Isolation ball drop and wellhead isolation services, as well as ERC frac services, customer property management and equipment rentals.
“We’re committed to continuously improving and expanding our operations in order to increase the value we provide to our customers. This is particularly important when the industry is facing difficult times,” said Mark McNeill, President of the Stream-Flo Group of Companies. “As a privately-owned Canadian company, we have the flexibility and the resources to partner with our customers for the long-term and maximize the value we provide. Expanding our presence in Grande Prairie is an investment in our customers, the community, and our industry.”
In addition to expanding its facility in Grande Prairie, Stream-Flo has contributed to non-profit organizations in the community, such as the Grande Prairie Rugby Club and the Special Olympics. In 2014, the Stream-Flo Group of Companies donated $3 for every dollar raised by employees to purchase $258,730.00 worth of medical equipment for the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, which treats sick children from across Alberta.
